REVIEW: Stila Convertible Colors!

Hey everyone! So here is another review on the Stila Convertible Colors! I absolutely LOVE this product and I am thinking about doing a review of it on my YouTube channel! So I pretty much use this in like every tutorial I make and I get a lot of questions on it.

So I got mine at Sephora for about $25 and I am hoping to get another one sometime! The color I have is Camelia. This color looks AMAZING on all skin tones, preferably medium skin tones. This color is a nice rosy-bronze color and if you sweep it up to your temples, you don't even need a bronzer! This cream blush multiple really changed the way I think about bronzer. Sometimes I will never wear bronzer and still have that amazing bronzy glow with this Convertible color.

FORMULA:

The formula of these are great! They are so smooth and creamy that they also double up as a lip color. They don't really have much of a smell that I recall, so they should be fine for people with sensitive skin. It literally glides on your skin and melts right in, so that you don't have a nasty obvious powdery finish.

PACKAGING:

The packaging is very cute with an intricate design with the Stila logo on it. It has a cute mirror inclosed and then you get the amazing product inside. (The boxes of Stila products are adorable, they are recycled paper and they just look so earthy and bohemian)

CONCLUSION:

This product is a bit pricey, but I have had mine for months and I still have plenty left. It is also a multiple use product, so you can use it for lips, cheeks and eyes if you wanted to. Overall, this product is a good buy and amazing! Thats something you can't find at the drugstore!

Review: Revlon Frost & Glow Highlighting Kit

Ah! Its nice to be back! So today I am reviewing the Revlon Frost & Glow Highlighting Kit. I used this kit yesterday and may I say I am very, very pleased with the results. BUT, the entire process to get the amazing results is a joke. I was so excited to try this out because many popular gurus on YouTube gave it amazing feedback and their hair looked quite nice, so I gave it a try.

I went to my local Target store and picked it up for a little over $6.00 USD. I was very pleased with the price because I noticed CVS was charging over $11.00 USD for it, which is insane. So I went home expecting a "quick dyeing experience", but boy was I wrong!

So you open it up, it contains a packet of bleach, or in their words a "Frosting Powder" packet. Instruction booklet, gloves, shampoo & conditioner packets, a plastic rectangular bowl (for mixing), the double ended hook and mixing utensil, a bottle of creme developer, the infamous cap, and a plastic bag to cover your hair during the bleaching process. Here, take a look:

So, it included a ton of things! So I followed all directions and put the cap on, but then I realized how much time it took to pull every strand out of the holes in the cap with the hook....

Basically, I wanted my hair to be a caramely-blonde color, somewhat of a darker strawberry blonde shade. So the only way to get this color is bleach and I did not want to purchase a whole tub of it at Sally's so I just went with this! I talk more about it in my YouTube video above. So I decided to go through every hole.

Going through every hole is such a pain! It literally took 2 hours to string through every strand of hair. At that point, I started to loose my patience. I had to ask my mom to help me out with the back because it just humanly impossible to complete the entire head by yourself. That kind of ticked me off, haha!

So now 2 hours later, I apply the bleach. So the mixing process was very easy. Pour in  the powder bleach to the plastic container they call a mixing bowl, and then add in the creme developer and you will get something that looks like this:

A baby blue thick, creamy consistency.  So go ahead stir until perfection, with the opposite side of the hook (the mixing utensil.) For my liking I mixed with my own salon brush from Hot Tools.

Now apply evenly from root to tip. I used my own brush to do so because the bristles made an easier application. It was really tangly and it felt weird, but I just went with it. So now I put on the plastic bag they included to cover up the hair while bleaching. I go sit down for about 7 minutes and I look over at my mirror and notice how light my hair looked!! So I frantically ran over to my bathroom and tried to remove the cap. This is where things go downhill.

I could not get the cap out of my hair! It was literally STUCK! I tried pulling on it, but it just made my scalp hurt much more. I just gave up and ran to my bathtub to rinse everything out. I brushed and brushed...and the thing finally got out of my poor hair! YAY!

After that, I shampooed and conditioned the huge knot in my hair that the cap left. While shampooing, I brushed out everything and finally my hair came loose.

So the results are amazingly up to my standards. So now the big question; Is this thing really worth it. I kind of have a mixed opinion on this one. I wouldn't want to go to the salon and pay up to $200 to get my hair highlighted, I would rather pay the $6 this was worth. But, when I think of it, all the struggle just to get nice hair....ridiculous!

Conclusion time: I do think this is worth it, but make sure you have another person there to help you, and be sure to have a lot of time on your hands!

TREND ALERT! The Winged Liner is BACK!!

I am so excited! The winged eyeliner trend is going to be BIG this fall and winter! Its simple, classic, but not over the top...well, in some cases it might be, but that's okay, right?

So I've been seeing this trend all over the runways lately and I'm really starting to notice a trend in the re-making. I never thought this trend went out of style, but all of a sudden, its everywhere! So here are some photos of this edgy-chic trend:

Nail of the Day!

So today, I painted my nails with my favorite color from OPI. Its a gorgeous cranberry, wine or plum with beautiful gold reflects. This color seems pretty fall-ish, but I dont really stick to the whole "you must wear the proper colors for the season" trend.

Im so excited that the different color on ring finger trend is popping up everywhere; celebrities, runways, and magazines. I have been painting my ring finger nail a different color since winter, and I love it. Doesnt it remind you of when you were a kid and wanted to paint each nail a pattern of colors? Haha, Its kind of like the "grown up" pattern for nail polish! For my ring finger I       used the Wet N Wild Nail Polish in Black Creme; it looked pretty bland, so I wanted to spice it up a bit with the Pure ICE purple glitter nail polish.

Going Naked...Now?!?

Yes, I know, it is pretty sad. The Urban Decay Naked Palette is a luxurious palette that I am NOW getting my hands on. I have always wanted it, and I'm about to make my infamous trip to Sephora to buy it.

It has been sold out EVERYWHERE! And finally, I can reach up and grab it of the display at Sephora. I was insanely jealous of everyone doing tutorials and reviews on it, while it kept getting repeatedly sold out in my local stores. I am finally going to get it...YES!

With a retail price at $48.00, it may seem like a complete investment.  It actually is a great deal. The neutral palette contains 12 eyeshadow colors. Not to mention the included brush (or 24/7 eyeliner duo) and the Urban Decay Primer Potion. The palette is a good buy actually.

The eyeshadows have a reputation of great pigmentation. I just cant wait to try it out! I will be doing a review once I get my hands on it (:

Thanks for reading my blabber!
